Privacy notice
MYinc Speedtest is a free website operated by MYinc Technologies. It is hosted as static pages. Measurement Lab (M-Lab), an independent third party, provides the speed-measurement network. MYinc does not operate M-Lab's servers.
Consent before measurement
Before a speed test, you are shown a persistent privacy notice. A test starts only after you actively choose Agree & enable tests and then press Start test. Merely browsing or scrolling does not provide consent. You can withdraw future measurement consent from the privacy settings icon or footer; withdrawal does not erase information already sent to M-Lab.
Information M-Lab processes
M-Lab collects measurement data including your public-facing IP address and may publish it publicly and retain it indefinitely. Your test uses real bandwidth and can consume mobile or capped data. Review M-Lab’s Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy before agreeing.
Local storage, cookies and your choices
This site stores your theme preference, consent choice (with a policy version and timestamp), test cooldown and usage count, and up to ten completed test results in your browser’s local storage. No advertising cookies or third-party analytics scripts are included. Local storage isn't transmitted to MYinc's application database. You may remove recent results using Clear history. Clearing your browser’s site data also removes local history, preferences and consent, so consent will be requested again. Essential web service and hosting logs may still be processed by Cloudflare and relevant network infrastructure.
Measurement limitations
NDT7 measures download and upload using single-stream encrypted WebSocket traffic to an M-Lab server. It may yield different results from multi-stream testing services. The minimum TCP latency shown, when available, is server-reported round-trip time, not a separate ICMP ping, jitter or packet-loss test. Upload figures are marked as browser estimates where server statistics are unavailable.
Fair use and operational limits
M-Lab limits interactive use to 40 tests per user per day. The site has a browser-based local counter and a one-minute post-test cooldown; these are best-effort limits, and M-Lab independently enforces its own usage policy. Commercial integration permission/contribution requirements are still being clarified for the wider MYinc public launch.
Privacy enquiries
For MYinc privacy enquiries, POPIA requests or questions relating to information MYinc controls, email help@myinc.co.za. For processing performed by M-Lab, review its policy and contact details. MYinc cannot withdraw public data that M-Lab has already published.
